Brief Description: This series is actually a collage made up of six classic stories of Japanese literature: Lost Humanity (Ningen Shikkaku) - A student strayed in and out of the future, falls into a vicious circle of depression and drugs that mark them life for many years. Spoken in four chapters, each pursuing different points of its existence. In the forest, under the blooming cherries (Sakura no Mori no Mankai no Shita) - A story of love between a 12th century woman and the kidnapping bandit. Kokoro - The story of a young man's life during the Meiji era. This work portrays the transition from the Japanese Meiji era to the modern one, exploring the friendship between a young man and an old man whom he calls Sensei. He deals with the theme of isolation, in the context of selfishness, shame and guilt. Run, Melos! (Hashire, Melos!) - An adaptation of the Greek tale, of Damon and Pythias. The main theme is that of unwavering friendship. Despite the obstacles, the protagonist, Melos, does everything he can to save the life of his friend, and in the end his efforts are rewarded. Jigoku Hen - A famous artist receives a task from a Lord, to paint a series of paintings depicting scenes of "Buddhist Hell." The artist can not paint scenes he did not see, so he begins to torture and force the Lord's staff to "produce" the images of Hell. All these painter's efforts are enveloped in madness and destruction. Kumo no Ito - The god Shakyamuni notices a hellfound killer. Throughout his life, this killer made a single act of kindness: bypassing a spider in the forest, taking his life away. Moved by this act of goodwill, Shakyamuni descends the cloth of a Paradise spider in hell, but it is up to the killer to take advantage of the opportunity and get rid of Hell - if possible.
