HyperX is a Kingston subsidiary, focused on the production of RAM, solid state storage and gaming peripherals. Unlike Kingston's parent company, which currently offers a line-up of entry-level products, HyperX attacks mid-range and high-end segments. HyperX entered the gaming market 3 years ago by launching the HyperX Cloud gaming headset. Subsequently, HyperX Cloud II, HyperX Cloud Core and HyperX Cloud Revolver followed, all with extremely positive reviews from both specialized publications and users. Since the beginning of the first gaming headphones, the company has been proposing to bring solid and performing products to the market with an over-average quality / price ratio.

Of course, a hypermarket company could not miss the opportunity to enter the market for mechanical keyboards, which, although it has been overwhelmed by hundreds of models, with designs and configurations that, more than ever, still offer too many alternatives for those who prefer a minimalist design with no breeze useless and tiring breezes. That's how HyperX Alloy FPS, a compact mechanical keyboard with extremely narrow edges, Cherry MX Blue switches and red illumination. Why Alloy FPS? Because it is a keyboard dedicated to first person shooters gamers.

It does not have programmable keys, which are usually useful only in MMOs and MOBAs, and the Cherry MX Blue switches are among the favorites of FPS players. In addition, the USB cable can be detached, and a carry case is included in the package - which is extremely important for someone who often takes part in LAN parties. Of course, there are some less pleasant features. A compliant gaming keyboard should come with an application that allows some degree of personalization, mainly on the lighting side, but HyperX seems to have completely ignored this detail. Moreover, the fact that there are not many variants of switches and backlighting limits the target audience from the beginning. The Cherry MX Blue switches are pretty loud, even with O-rings, and the red backlight may not even please everyone. I know a lot of FPS gamers who hate the Cherry MX Blue switches and who prefer rather quieter switches such as Cherry MX Red or Cherry MX Brown in combination with an RGB lighting system.
